You Don’t Need A Shortcut To Your Success You Just Need Patience, Goals and Discipline

Naturally, we associate fitness with weight loss and while that’s typically the goal, it’s more than that. Getting into a fitness routine takes time. You have to find what you enjoy and what works best for your body– after all, everybody is different. As you figure out what type of physical activity suits you, it becomes a lifestyle rather than what could sometimes feel like a chore.
Over the last 4 months (about) Tyler has been working hard to achieve fitness goals that he set out for himself and boy has he done great. But, with that being said, it didn’t come easy to him. He made a conscious effort to work toward the goals he has and although he is still on his journey, he’s beginning to reap the benefits of the hard work he has put in so far.
Tyler’s [Fitness] Journey

Back in January, Tyler shared a post following his 30th birthday. He set out to accomplish specific life goals that were going to better him as an individual and has been continuing to work towards them every day since.

Since then, he has been sharing his progress over social media. In March he posted about cutting season writing, “CUTTING SEASON IS HERE! For this recent lean mass gain, I had set certain goals for each of my main lifts. I’m pumped to say that I reached them all except 1 (only by 10lbs ????) but it’s all good, I’m still pretty proud of myself & I know I’ll get it next time!✔️ Bench – 225lbs (nailed it!)✖️ Deadlift – 390lbs (goal was 400)✔️ Squat – 330lbs (goal was only 315!)Now it’s time to shred this fat percentage down to see what I’ve been working on! LET’S GO! #FitnessJourney ????????????????& a HUGE shoutout to @torrez_jerry08 at @torrez_training_ for helping me, I couldn’t have done it without you man! ????????”
Following through, he’s continued to be persistent. Sharing another post in March that I included below.

In the later end of June he got more vulnerable, explaining why this journey is so important to him.
He wrote on Instagram, “Slowly melting this fat off while maintaining the little bit of muscle mass that I’ve worked really hard to get & I swear every week my body is changing & I’m pumped about it!
My whole life I hated my ectomorph body. I’ve always been known as “the scrawny dude” & I could never gain weight! I wouldn’t even take my shirt off because I always thought I looked sickly skinny & I hated my bony chest so much that I used to swim with my shirt on lol
So I may not be where I want to be yet (still got a lot more work to do) but I’m just trying to soak in all the little victories I notice on the way. I can’t wait for my next bulk cycle to see how much more gains I can get, because I’m just getting started baby! LET’S GO!”
And now, with “cutting season” officially over, he shared his final results following his past four months of hard work and persistence.
He captioned his most recent post, “I managed to drop 24 POUNDS while maintaining the strength I built while I was gaining!
Top Pic: end of MARCH (203lbs at the end of my bulk)Bottom Pic: NOW (179lbs at the end of my cut)
I’m pretty happy with the results. It makes me even more pumped to see how the next cut goes after I’m done bulking again!”

I am so proud of my husband and his journey to better himself and all around just feel better in his body. His work so far is proof that patience is key along with loving yourself enough to put in the work that you deserve.
Winter is coming which means his fitness routine will change and we’re excited to continue sharing his results along the way.
