Emotions are powerful. And, When we act on emotions we sometimes act out of character, leading us to say or do regretful things. It’s vital that we sit down with ourselves and allow the introspective thoughts to flow so we can heal from pain and trauma that has the ability to cause unwarranted chaos in our lives. If you or someone you know struggles with that, here are some tips aided by poetry from Tyler to help you begin to think inward.

Be the person you needed when you were hurting, not the person who hurt you.
Vow to be better than who broke you…
by healing, not being bitter.
So you can act from your heart, not your pain & learn to love better.
2. Embrace The Ups and The Downs

Life is a series of peaks & valleys.
So learn to grain strength from the valley
to complete the climb… so you can reach that peak & see the beauty on the other side
3. Accept Yourself As A One-Of-A-Kind Human

I know that all the strength I ever needed lies within me deep down inside
In my body
In my mind
I forge my pain into a blade
So I can fight & make that knife
So I can slice through all my weaknesses
& beat these inner demons
by embracing my uniqueness
4. The Past Doesn’t Have To Be Your Future

Don’t let life’s rejections
form your self reflection
Never feel restricted to forge new paths
because happiness won’t last
If you put your FUTURE
in the hands of your PAST
