If you missed it, on Tuesday, September 6 Teen Mom: The Next Chapter premiered.
Me, Amber Portwood, Maci Mckinney, Leah Messer, alongside Cheyenne Floyd, Briana DeJesus, Jade Cline, and Ashley Jones are all together behind the same set of cameras for the first time! The season will have 15 episodes in total, all of which will unfold our current lives in front of you.
New Beginnings Means New Stories

This new series welcomes old faces as well as new faces to the Teen Mom family. The blend of two has allowed for new storylines to be made and for old ones to be moved on from. All of us women are in such different places than we were when you first met us as young teens and this series is about sharing this new era of our lives with you. And, it’s not just about updating the world on our lives.
Sharing our stories as young pregnant teens in live time wasn’t only for us. It came with the intention to shed light on the reality of bringing a new life into this world at such a young age. We made the commitment to share every piece of our experience with you as an opportunity to be someone that another young teen could relate to or feel less alone in their own journey.
Continuing with “the next chapter” allows us to do that with those same females who grew up with us through the television as well as attract other moms who can connect with our stories.
Having all of us girls together on one show adds an entirely new support system for each of us going through heartbreak, handling drama, managing trauma, embracing happiness, and growth, that you’ll witness throughout the season. Moments like Cheyenne living with her trauma from the shooting (touched on in episode 1) and Jenelle Evans coming to Bri’s party are just a couple of things I can name.

This season, we also have diary cameras which basically allow us to take selfie videos of whatever we’re doing at that moment. Those videos and on-the-fly interviews have added a level of authenticity to the show that people haven’t seen before. In these new moments that we share we become more vulnerable. It’s a more intimate experience for us to share and I’m hoping for you, as a viewer, as well.
